FINAL UPDATE

Yoda's Dad again.  Talked to Yoda (by pay phone) from Stehekin this morning.  Definitely no cell service for rest of the hike.  She said she would post the remaining blogs once she gets to Vancouver and has good internet service - probably on 3rd or 4th of Oct.  As of yesterday she has covered 2570 miles with 81 left to go.  "All is still well" - but it is starting to get colder (snow now above 5,000 ft level). She wondered if anyone would  care to post a guess on when -  date and time - she will get to the end (US - Canadian border monument - no mountain this time!).  She was headed North again at 12:30 this afternoon.

    Thanks for the update Steve...I'll go with Saturday 10/1 at 4:00pm! What a weekend for your family with Anthony's command ceremony Friday and then Katie finishing up another amazing accomplishment! Congrats to all!

    I'd say probably Sunday, Oct 2, 2016 early in the afternoon. Weather, terrain, gear, and adrenalin could all change that to earlier or later. Whenever she steps off the trail for the final 30 inches or so it will be a celebratory moment for her, you and the General, the rest of her blood family, all of her trekking family members, and all of her loyal cyber fans. No need to say Go Yoda, she's GOING! My hope is that she's as proud of herself as the rest of us are. CONGRATULATIONS WALKS FAR WOMAN!

    Well said Double G. I too hope she is proud of herself. I know that we are. Hmmm. Based on the end being pretty much over 6,000 feet most of the way that is left -snow comes into play. While we hope for Sunday - I am going to guess for Monday Oct 3rd at 11:41. I pray that she is careful to the end.
    Homegrown and Sprinkles are close behind her with a Monday goal too. Last I knew 0utro was with them. This is the stuff that generates parties and celebrations. Thanks Yoda and Wolf pack for a glimpse of thru hiking. Thanks for the pictures. My glass is ready to raise in your honor.

    This is Homegrown's dad. I have really enjoyed following you on this trip. It gives me a different perspective than I get from Homegrown and Sprinkles. Good luck on the last few miles. I hope my kids catch up so you can finish together. Don. (Pappa Homegrown)

    Does that make Steve Papa Yoda? Lol. So excited for her AND Anthony. Congratulations to them both. It would have been great if she'd been finished in time to be there to see him get his command, and vise versa. Ed and I are guessing she'll finish Monday midday. Go Yoda! Hang in there!     Hey Yoda, this is Evac's Mom. I have loved every bit of your blog. It's allowed me to be a part of this journey. Since Evac has been behind you I get to have an idea of what she'll be dealing with and seeing what she'll be seeing. I can't tell you how much this has meant to me. She is trying hard to catch up to you but if she doesn't she said the Wolf Pack is planning to reunite afterwards. That will be an incredible reunion. Friends forever!!!
